a bit about me

Hi Neighbors,

My name is Roberta Beavers, Bobbi for short!

As a private citizen, and with bipartisan support, I wrote a bill and made it a law in Maine. My team's strong voice was heard over the loud lobbyists and I learned how important a grass roots voice can be.

For many years I have been a committed volunteer on behalf of the wonderful residents of Eliot and South Berwick. I have facilitated educational and energy efficiency grants, been an effective advocate for local businesses and fought to reduce our county taxes.

Now it is time to turn that volunteer work into public office to do even more good work for the entire District and State.

As your State Representative, my three major priorities will be:

  • Fiscal Stability - work on "needs-vs-wants" spending, new ways to generate revenue (not taxes), government efficiency and long-range planning
  • Economic/Job Stimulation - streamline business regulations and healthcare costs, invest in higher education (for more / higher paying jobs) and market the strengths of the state
  • Educational and Environmental Sustainability - reduce unfunded mandates and increase local control; reduce use of energy and work towards energy independence

I am asking for your ideas, your concerns, your support and your vote.

Thank you!

Bobbi

I Promise ...

My commitments to District 148 (Eliot and part of South Berwick):

  • I will listen to the concerns of District 148 citizens and respond in a timely manner.
  • I will support small business profitability, responsible land development and equitable school funding.
  • I will work for affordable health care for every citizen, environmental protection & responsible taxation.
  • I will fight for basic human/civil rights for all Maine citizens and for protection for our children/seniors.
  • I will be accountable for my votes and decisions!
